Health Support and Counseling Specialist

I am a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner with over 20 years of experience supporting individuals navigating substance use and mental health challenges. I earned my Associate’s degree in Chemical Dependency Counseling from Metropolitan Community College, a Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science, and a Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling from Bellevue University.

My work focuses on the intersection of addiction and mental health, including depression, anxiety, trauma, and the emotional patterns that often drive substance use. I take a practical, compassionate approach, helping clients build insight, develop coping skills, and create sustainable change in their daily lives.

In addition to my professional training, I bring lived experience in addiction and long-term recovery. I understand firsthand that sobriety is not a one-time decision, but an ongoing process that includes setbacks, growth, and resilience. This allows me to meet clients with authenticity, accountability, and without judgment.

I am especially passionate about supporting individuals reentering the community after incarceration. I believe in second chances and am committed to helping people rebuild their lives, strengthen their mental health, and reconnect with a sense of purpose.
